Hello all, and welcome to the 2023 NAF Annual Review!
The goal of this annual process is to present to the membership updated versions of the NAF Tournament Documents as appropriate. These updates will serve as rules and guidelines for NAF tournaments in 2024.
The timeline for the process is as follows:
- Before November 5th 2023: Discussion with international tournament staff
- November 6th - November 26th: Committee discussion and finalisation
- November 27th - November 31st: Document update
- December 1st: Document publication for feedback
- January 1st 2024: Documents become live NAF rules
This forum is designed to facilitate the discussion between you, the international tournament staff, the tournament approval team and myself as the review coordinator and tournament director.
We want to use your insight to help us update the tournament rules, highlight general issues and support us to apply any necessary revisions to the Tournament Approval Document.
This welcome thread is the only section of the forum that is visible to non forum members. This is so that you can speak freely in discussions without concern that your views will be public. You can comment on as many or as few of the threads as you like; we'd like you to represent your local coaches, but if you / they don't care about a specific discussion point, it's absolutely OK to leave it without posting. Finally, this is an advisory process where we're taking the temperature of the staff / the community, not a democracy. The NAF committee will have the final say on any changes or updates we make.
For those interested but unable to access the remainder of the forum, please make your views known to your regional staff member. All active national coordinators (NCs) and regional coordinators (RCs) have been invited. Get in touch!
